Oils Ain’t Oils (no more)

At long last, and with no surprise, we have seen the end of the decline of [tag]Peter Garrett [/tag]from Oils to oily.
Word by word, phrase by phrase, in a wretched display of [tag]weasel-word[/tag]manship, [tag]Garrett[/tag] yesterday stood well away from his once-strident profession of environmental beliefs to tear down a promise of action against [tag]Japanese whaling[/tag] from absolute conviction to meaningless nonsense.
“I don’t propose to further comment on it until I’ve actually had a chance to see the details of the judge’s decision,” he told reporters in [tag]Canberra[/tag].
“I think it’s appropriate for private organisations and individuals to take up where they can through the legal system those issues of concern to them.
“The commonwealth wasn’t a party to this case but our intention to continue to have an overall, holistic and fair-dinkum approach to opposing Japanese so-called scientific whaling is absolutely clear.”
“We will have an adequate and comprehensive monitoring in place,” Mr Garrett said.
“It will enable us to have every good opportunity to take material and information – in the event that we are able to take a case forward, which is what our intention is.”
Sigh…
