Mixed Dating? Have a Rock to the Head!

Just been listening to some BBC report about callow religious youths in Mangalore, India, who have unilaterally styled themselves as “Religious Police”. Apparently these religious vigilantes don’t like the idea of girls and boys holding hands in public. Remind you of anywhere? When will Obama invade, we wonder?

What the boys do when they find what they merely assume are mixed religion couples together is they bash them, sometimes with a rock to the head.

Forcing compliance by violence! Now that’s the rational way to prove your views are correct!

You have to admit Australia seems a lot safer and more tolerant for Indian students than their home country.

What we want the religious delusionals to do is to use this story as an illustration to explain to us again how religion fosters morality and how without religion you cannot be moral. And if that is the case, please explain why I am morally outraged.

I gather the muslim vigilantes are mainly trying to stop muslim boys from holding hands with hindu girls. But wait! If the muslim boys go with hindu girls there will be more muslim virgins for you when you blow yourself up with your exploding underpants. [More on the Exploding Underpants Problem and muslim virgins here ...]
