I Ain’t Never Seen Nuthin’ Like It!

Adam Voges catches Brendan McCullum in the second last over of tonight’s 20-20 which Australia won by just one run. [video subject to frequent pulling by IP nazis]

Sadly, it’s not unique:

1. Looks like an IPL match

2. Apparently for the tsunami fund, the World XI vs NZ that replaced the Sri Lanka tour of NZ

It is extraordinary, though.

Well, that version has been taken down by Cricket Australia, who just want to spoil your fun, so here are a few of the best, including Ponting and the amazing Collingwood catch, plus the Gilchrist catch that should never have been possible:

Yes Cricket. A foolish game played by overpaid under intelligent adult males, in the main, who can’t remember a full name, hence “Wacko” “Dicko” ‘thicko’ and etc; put out numerous boring books in the Julie Bishop fashion, and stand around scratching their balls in a paddock that is perfectly suited to the fattening of lambs.

Now, then…Careful, sir! Ball-scratching is a central part of the sacred rituals of our national religion. Aibi, Tubbe, Stevo, Warni et Riki domini sunt!

“Now, then…careful, Sir!”
As a life long Parramatta (the mighty Eels) supporter and a stoic, that you have to be , I have found over the period ,apart from our slight aberrance when we actually rose to an august rank , that to retain one’s touch with the other, the commoner, as disrelish this may be, to remain, I have to reject your offer as (Sir). At this time, however time passes quickly.
(Sir Lang, mmmm).
