This sweet Christmas song, “White Wine in the Sun”, is on a charity Christmas CD reportedly being sold in Myer stores.
The vocal is by Kate Miller-Heidke. The song is by Tim Minchin. There’s been a bit of a fuss about it, apparently. “Sick joke”, “not in the spirit of Christmas” etc. even though it’s exactly in the spirit of Xmas. And sure beats all those horrible, commercial, overworked, boring carols they keep pumping out in Westfields from October on, as if they cared about “the true meaning of Christmas”.
