Yes, I liked it. A difficult muse that one, the friend muse, so, well mused kind Sir.
I missed that you were spare in your thoughts on old Europe. Pity that. I thought the ballet was at Garnier? Nonetheless, the bleak bastille would have been a good stage for the leaping frogs. Great ballet isn't it.
A full throttle Bicentenary Dies Irae with Ruggerio Tenore in person in April, wow. Surely there'll be some knightly clue for the binoculared fans?

Thank you for being there! I thought everyone wold have gone away. I wrote a little something as a result. Hope you like it ...
Perhaps I could mention that one of the highlights of my year 2012 was a performance of Prokofiev's Romeo and Juliette at the Opera Bastille. Next was singing in the chorus of Sydney Sings Messiah in November and a 2013 peak (as opposed to Pique) will hopefully be singing in the chorus for Sydney Sings Verdi's Requiem in April. (All this singing starting just as the voice begins to declare its increasing brittleness - still, tenors are like gold apparently*)
*I know, you thought Sir Roger was a deep baritone....

Your stupidity is quite astopunding. You absolutely believe that the Abbott Moron and his pack of neo-con goons are good?
TRhey are the sort of filth who caused the GFC and you want them to do it again.

Pure stupidity.
All Liberal Politicians are more than scum now. As they all have to blow Pell before saying anything. Abbott is pure evil and only MORONS cannot see it

My Liege! What a joy to know that you are well (or well enough) and her Ladyship Patricia, too, whom I recall we thought we had lost for sure.
One has been somewhat preoccupied of late with working and travelling and - well, mostly because Australian politics has been so unutterably awful over the last few years from every direction that it has been hard to feel that anything one can say can touch the edges of the void that stares back. And sometimes a jewel like this poem comes up to prove the limitations of the polemic of Sir Roger. Every now and then, my Laird, there will be something here.
By the way, I don't know if you noticed but your faith has been justified and Values Australia has been forever immortalised in the Pandora Archive of the online collection of the Australian National Library. A small feather perhaps but a feather nonetheless.
Thanks for being back in touch.

My Dear Sir;
One has been somewhat indisposed for an time that found the Laird, testy at food, doctors, Oxygen, numerous blood giving, wandering god spivs, the urge to kill(other patients) , correcting the visiting "specialist" (no, that's not me, with the wire on my brisket, "Oh, well , hum, I'll be back), the good? news is that due to reasons that are quite beyond my feeble, I am holding this hand out.
The Laird has observed the passion that drives, had not dimmed the heart or spirit of Sir Roger, indeed there is an underlying side that makes Sir Roger almost accessible to the common.
Well, the laird will attempt to converse as in previous times, occasionally one gets tired, the spirit is there, more than ever, the application on occasions takes effort though valued, is trying.
Patricia (yes, still going) and young Jack(her son) appreciate efforts, indeed (as any Boarder Collie will intimate to you, our nose smells bull shit from the first utter, Sir Roger utters, we'll sleep.
What higher honer would one want.)
This is why you have never seen Tony Abbott with a Boarder Collie, or any other animal I think.
Sir Roger, please still cast your penumbra over (sic) the things we are we hold dear, in this life(or what is left) you are needed.
Laird and lady Lang, Patricia and young Jack.

Why believe NSW coalition health plan works just by add a few dollars in hospital without innovative ideas?
It’s all about power and money most Politicians and parties wanted above all and after all election?
Just listen how Barry O'Farrell convincing voters: “The key to our program is giving medical professionals a bigger say in how health services are delivered in their area. These are the people who know what their patients need…so we will be listening to them”.
Where the Preventive Health program under coalition government’s 8 years health plan is proved that a political mouth show in which spent millions dollar only produced a book for sale, people who have to pay for reading, but not benefit taking.
Will you then still believe Mr Barry O'Farrell’s coalition opposition is committed to health reform (put some money in some hospital if you liked)? Then call it rebuild the hospital system through Better Hospitals and Healthcare program? The coalition put it up simply as a truly health reform that would fix NSW health problems?
Will you also believe there were only 1-2 Politicians responding to this greatest “Healthy Las Vergas Broken Hill economy model”?
Why the most Politicians do fail their own test in spend little brain work to come up some innovative idea that truly achieve the health reform materialized that benefits to all voters?
Take a look below the link subject: “Time for Action” in “Healthy Active Life” program that convert Broken hill into a Healthy Las Vergas Broken Hill economy? Link with www.streetcorner.com.au/news/showPost.cfm?bid=20747&mycomm=ES

When we look at what today’s shrinking industries, such of agriculture (34% of fruit and 19% of vegetables imported); manufacture (10.5% by 2005–6) destructed by John Howard’s coalition government.
Will you then still believe Mr Barry O'Farrell’s coalition opposition announced positive and practical policies which will help revitalize agriculture and manufacture industries for create more sustainable jobs, and innovative export products?
Remember, it’s not one person to construct or destruct the whole lots of industries, it’s the matter of whole political party/government?

However, the assertion that Christian couples should be deprived adequate sexual instruction simply because they do not wish to look at naked, sexual images of people other than their spouse just comes off as bigotry. Bare in mind also that these couples tend to be completely monogamous and thus do not have a network whereby sexual knowledge may be transmitted and that pairings tend to be for life, making this kind of manual more important to their relationships.

[Ahem ...] In the movies don't you find that people tend not to suspect crazy or stupid people, you know, the crazy old lady, or the village idiot? But when they zoom in for a close-up there's a knowing sparkle in their eye? And it turns out to be the hero in disguise, able to enter the inner sanctum, steal the dragon's egg and rescue the damsel (or whatever)? For a little more on Sir Roger Migently's earlier history you might like to read this: Monckton's Shield.
By the way, although one is utterly egalitarian one feels some people can be a little over-familiar, ultra-close, super-presumptious, don't you find? And so Sir Roger does like to maintain the honorific "Sir" to preserve a modicum of personal space. It also pleases the Baroness d'Migentlé to have her husband respected in this way. Plain "Roger" doesn't seem to quite capture the Presence and Influence of the man, do you think? But Sir Roger's friends call him "Sir R". And so may you.

[Ahem ...] In the movies don’t you find that people tend not to suspect crazy or stupid people, you know, the crazy old lady, or the village idiot? But when they zoom in for a close-up there’s a knowing sparkle in their eye? And it turns out to be the hero in disguise, able to enter the inner sanctum, steal the dragon’s egg and rescue the damsel (or whatever)?
I really enjoyed this article and forgive me for getting a little sidetracked, but I'm a little curious as to what/who Sir Roger is? Are you/he a online alter-ego or (though I doubt this as I read he was born in 2006) is he an actual person, and the 2006 birth date defines more of a psychological birth? Also, in what context do you prefer to be referred to? I apologise in advance if this isn't the first time you've had to explain this.

It's just that it's hard to give up the need to be right. Humility doesn't come easily to most of us. I like Cromwell's line, repeated so movingly at Auschwitz by Jacob Bronowski in The Ascent of Man: "I beseech you in the bowels of Christ, think it possible you may be mistaken."

I've put the clip up in the post.

That's a bit disturbing, isn't it! I was watching a video today about bullying in schools and the guy says one way to fight bullying is to talk to bullies about why they need to do it. If you get through to them, he says, they might cry and then perhaps you can roll them over and have them police bullying. It's not so unlikely. I know of some kids who were done for bullying and shamed in front of the school. They all cried. I don't like public humiliation, though, any more than I like bullying. But it sounds as if to get through all the bullies in St Marys would take quite a while?

Are you being serious? You obviously fail at sympathising, and you can't reason what so ever. It MAY have had the potential to kill him, but DID it? No. So your point is invalid. Does the title read "ear 7 boy killed in brawl with much larger Year 10 student"? No, it does not. And even if it did, thats such a catchy 2 second news starter. When people look into the story, they would've realised that Casey was in the right. The bully deserves to die. Why would the kids parents let his ego get so big that he thinks he can bully somebody 4X larger than him? Was he really that spoilt? Furthermore, he posts "It didn't hurt" on his FB page. Fine, it probably wasn't him, but what can the public come to expect from this kid after what was depicted in the video? A remorseful, friendly, caring child? Forget that. That bully got what was coming to him, and I won't have you or anybody else try and convince people otherwise.

Weak leadership, inaction, cowardly behavior is 100% the problem here. Principals and teachers are reluctant to raise their hand and admit they have a bullying problem because dealing with it is complicated and it is far easier to deny knowledge. Why is there this pressure on principals and teachers. Pressure comes from many sources - the "cool/ popular kids" are generally the bullies. Teachers want to have these guys on side so they get peace and quiet in the classroom - rub my back - I'll rub yours - is a big part of it, some principals and teachers just want to fit in with the cool kids. Dare I open a can of worms and suggest that we treat/ punish kids/ adults according to race/religious beliefs/ culture and the politics of the day?

We have a long way to go in managing bullying and we cannot leave a single stone unturned. Hard and unpopular truths will need to be pointed out.

Casey is a long term victim of bullying and a victim of a society to weak to act. The little bully (who deserved everything he got) is also a victim of the bullying problem. Beating up kids is not cool - you will find yourself in jail but not before ruining someone else's life with physical and mental trauma. Bullying is not fair.
