ABC: Jerking off to the right?
Is it just me or have ABC News ansd CAff jerked fawningly and compliantly to the right? It’s not just the insultingly one-dimensional Insiders comic-strip and it’s not just the “soft righteous” Trioli on Friday Lateline. All day ABC has been pounding the Groveller-General’s “MAJOR SPEECH” (I think we’ll be the judge of that, won’t we?) which turned out to be a yawningly predictable vanilla flummery, while introducing anything about Rudd as a story about the serious problems he’s having or might have with his backbench or the unions rather than the substance of his propositions followed by any reaction (good and bad).
I could swear there’s at least one suss editor with a heavy liberal agenda in the Newsroom.
Later in the day/evening the radio news script had been revised and was much more balanced, which reinforces my suspicion that the daytime Liberal plant had finished his/her shift.
There’s no place for this in the independent ABC. I tell you, there is something going on (and Values Australia has been endorsed as an official political clairvoyant by the Government).
I don’t know. Am I the only one who is sensing this?
